Preparations are now under way for our forthcoming Diocesan Ultreya at St Mary the Virgin parish church at Banham. This event will be hosted by our Spiritual Director, Revd Canon Steve and Mrs Jo Wright along with members of the Diss Group Reunion on Saturday 17th July next at 1 pm.
With the recent extension to the Covid restrictions until the 19th July this event will go ahead with certain conditions. This will not now be a bring and share event as reported earlier, but instead participants are invited to bring their own picnic to enjoy in a socially distanced but friendly manner. Provided the weather is amenable then as much of the event as possible will be outside. We will make every effort to ensure that this event is as Covid safe as possible and so ask intending participants to reassure themselves that they are not infectious by conducting a lateral flow (Rapid Antigen) self administered test prior to attending. Restrictions on singing within the church will still be in place but careful adjustment to the programme for the day will allow us to sing outside and to hear music inside.
We hope to be able to welcome as many members of our 4th Day Community as feel able to join us for this event where we will be able to give thanks for all the many things that we have achieved during the pandemic as well as offer before Our Lord those things that have affected us adversely. In addition we will be able to hear updates of progress in preparation for Ultreya GB 2021 at the Cathedral on September 4th.
For further information and to express an interest in joining us for this event please get in touch with Bill on tel. (01953) 454400. Letting Bill know will help us to arrange things effectively. Ultreya!
