Praying for an end to the Pandemic

One year on from the beginning of the first lockdown in response to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in Britain, Norwich Anglican Cursillo continues to pray for those affected and for those whose efforts have made so much difference to our lives.

Heavenly Father, we pray for those who have died, and for those who mourn the loss of loved ones. We think of and pray for those who have had Covid-19 and continue to feel its effects. Be with those who are suffering with loneliness and the effects of isolation, separated from loved ones and friends. We ask You to continue to walk alongside all those who have been affected by changes to their work and all those whose work and living arrangements puts them in jeopardy from infection. We ask you to strengthen and guide all those who have to make decisions that affect our lives, those whose work contributes to the suppression of the virus and the vaccination programme. Be close to our neighbours in Europe and elsewhere as they face a third wave of cases. We ask that You walk alongside us as we gain extra freedoms on our pathway to the “new normal” and support all those who are feeling anxious about what the future may hold. Stay with us Lord in these times of trouble and guide us to Your eternal Light, through Jesus Christ, Your Son. Amen.
