We haven’t received the weekly bulletin from the ACC team yet but, rest assured, once we do get it we will let you know. This weeks prayers follow:
Week of May 11th 2020
Father we bring before you the Covid -19 Crisis Counselling Support Service, as they embark on their second week of full crisis support in the community. We ask that You keep them safe in the knowledge that You are always with them. Sometimes holding their hand when life seems extreme and often a little way off when you have great faith in their ability to carry out Your work using the gifts and skills You are bestowed upon them.
Lord it is inevitable that team members will develop relationships with the bereaved. Their experience of grief is individualistic, and we pray for each of them as they deal with this challenge of navigating the responsibility of detachment and supressing emotions as they continue on with performing their duties which are embedded in the nature of the work being carried out.
Lord, we ask you to support the team as they perform to the best of their ability for Your Glory. Sometimes things may become tough. But our loving Father, we ask You to strengthen them in body and soul and give them tolerance in times of frustration and tiredness. Mostly, replace their patience with Yours.
Father, in the book of Ephesians 6:18, it states: “And pray in the spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people”
Father we continue to pray for the right people to be in place to help the team, and the correct finances provided to further their work. We ask for understanding, when some in frustration may berate you for the death of a family member, a friend or a college. Turn a deaf ear Lord and forgive them for in these trying times as not all humans have our faith and therefor blame You for all.
We ask for your blessing on all the staff and team members. For the bereaved who need their support, for carers and essential workers through out the world as they continue helping others through these unparalleled difficult times.
May the Lords Blessing be always with you, may his staff of support be there for all who need it; and His light of healing and guidance lead you safely to the end of this crisis. Amen
