Norwich Anglican Cursillo weekly call to prayer for the Coronavirus Outbreak.

Our Lay Director, Barbara Harrold writes:

Together, at 6 pm on Monday 6th April, I ask that those who can, join together in the following prayer:

Lord there are so many who need our prayers and

I feel so small and insignificant isolated here at home

My single voice is so small but,

as we gather together in our Cursillo prayer group Lord

together we bring before you those who have the virus in hospitals and at home and need your loving, caring support.

Those caring for them and placing themselves in the front line fighting to care for the many who need them.

For families worrying about financial problems, both the immediate and future difficulties.

For businesses finding ways to help the community and the staff that service.

For those struggling with missed operations, treatments and those suffering with mental difficulties.

For those with employment challenges,

For all students worried about exam results, and for the younger ones who do not understand why they cannot see their friends.

For parents struggling to cope in small homes with no gardens or in flats with children,

And the elderly for whom isolation has become the norm.

For all clergy learning that church is not four walls but reaching out to all people for Jesus said:

John 16:32 and 33, “I am not alone, because the Father is with me. These things I have spoken unto you, that in me you might have peace. In the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”

Lord our Father in heaven, we have faith in you for you are good and will do good. We put our trust firmly in your hands to bring us through this crisis and make us stronger at the end. Amen

On this wonderful warm sunny day please keep isolated, stay safe and soon we will be able to meet together and enjoy fellowship and the Peace together.
