NAC has arranged 2 Cursillo “Weekends” for 2020 and so there are 16 places available this year for potential new members of the 4th Day Community. Let us not pass this chance by to swell our numbers and share the love of God through our witness in the fertile fields of our own environment.
Ever ready to put pen to paper in the cause of Cursillo, our Booking Secretary, Jeanie Feneron, has put together a succinct precis of our intentions in the coming year.
Greetings Cursillista’s One and All,
I think it is fair to say that we all believe Cursillo is a wonderful gift from God which we all want to share with others.
With that in mind I am writing to give you the dates for the two weekends we have planned for this year.
The dates are Monday 20th April 5.30pm Thursday 23rd to April 4.30pm, (Lay Rector Jenny Ferns), and Thursday 19th November 5.30pm to Sunday 22nd November, (Lay Rector Laurence Morlaas). Both week/weekend will be held at The Pleasaunce Christian Holiday Home, Harbord Road, Overstrand, NR27 0PN. (Find out more about The Pleasaunce here: https://www.cehc.org.uk/about-us )
Please note that Norwich Anglican Cursillo makes block bookings at The Pleasaunce for our weekends and there is no need to make your own booking with them.
Having served on many previous weekends I cannot recommend The Pleasaunce highly enough. The rooms are extremely comfortable, cosy and warm and all guest’s rooms are en suite. The food is delicious and the staff team at the hotel are extremely welcoming and helpful.
Set on top of the cliff next to the beach it is an ideal place for walks while taking in the sea air. Located in the landscaped gardens is a private chapel- a wonderful spot for quiet reflection. The Pleasaunce is a truly amazing place to reflect and feel close to the gifts God has given us.
Most of us came to Cursillo because someone cared enough to invite us, so now is the time to start praying about which of our friends we think would benefit from attending.
I will be sending out application forms and more detailed information in due course but if you would like Application Forms or any other information please do not hesitate to contact me. More information is available on the website at Norwich Anglican Cursillo.
If you know of any Cursillistas who are not on e-mail, or who have lost contact please print off a copy of this letter and give it to them.
Remember…..Christ is counting on you……

Do get in touch with Jeanie (or any of our Secretariat members) and we will be only too pleased to give further advice about sponsoring a participant on a Cursillo Weekend. Remember the oft quoted Cursillo adage: Make a friend, be a friend, bring a friend to Jesus.
