NAC Secretariat met last Saturday (2nd February) at Saham Toney. The meeting was hosted by Andy and Jane Johnson due to an expectation that Ashill Rectory would not be available to us. Secretariat members were welcomed with hot coffee and freshly baked rock cakes following, in some cases, lengthy journeys from other parts of the Diocese. Secretariat was especially pleased to welcome Revd Jane to the meeting. Jane had been expecting to be in hospital for an operation but a last minute cancellation enabled her to join us.

As is the custom the meeting opened with prayer for members, The Cursillo Movement and for things that particularly concern us.

Roger Harrold, our Treasurer, presented the accounts until end of December 2018 and also presented a review of the finances since NAC was founded in 2008. It was agreed that the finances showed sound financial control. Roger was thanked for his efforts in this field.

Cursillo leaders Workshops were discussed and an application form is to be forwarded to an interested member.

A suggestion was received that The Pleasaunce be proposed as a suitable venue for CLWs and our Area Rep. (Pat Rout) will be instructed to make representations to the Standing Committee at their meeting later in February.

Mandy Davison (Lay Rector) and Jeanie Feneron (Observing LR) gave a detailed update on preparations for the forthcoming Norwich #12 weekend. 6 confirmed pilgrims had signed up and staffing issues had been resolved. The Secretariat are confident that the weekend will proceed smoothly thanks to the work being put in by Mandy, Jeanie and everyone involved. Dates and venue for a Welcome Back Ultreya will be identified and communicated shortly.

Discussion regarding the provisions of GDPR took place and it was noted that the relevant form needs revision to include photographs. This matter was being dealt with. It was reiterated that all letters an publications must carry the correct Charity number ( 1126672).

A request for help during the Archdeacons Charge event which coincides with the BACC AGM is to be publicised on the website.

It was confirmed that the Norwich AGM will not include an Ultreya this year. A Bring and Share lunch would feature however. Details on Calendar page of website will be updated.

It was expected that a meeting of the new Secretariat would take place immediately after the AGM.

This post was compiled from notes taken at the meeting but should not be taken to constitute formal minutes which will be compiled by Andy Johnson and circulated to the Secretariat members.

Bill Rout BACC Rep.
