De Colores one and all
Norwich Cursillo Weekend #11 will be taking place from Thursday 28th June until Sunday July 1st.
Under the guidance of Lay Rector, Sue Smith, a team of table leaders and gophers have been making preparations for the weekend which will be at The Pleasaunce, Overstrand and has attracted 6 pilgrims at time of writing. Sue is grateful for all the effort that has gone into the preparation by the team and is confident that the Holy Spirit will be at work throughout the weekend and that the pilgrims will be truly blessed as they make their Cursillo.
We ask you to pray for the staff on the weekend: Sue (LR), Mandy (OLR), Revd. Jane and Revd. Riaz (SAs), Helen, David, Jane & Barbara (gophers) and Jeanie, Roger, Jackie & Jenny (Table Leaders) as well as Bill & Pat and Julie working in the background.
Prayer Chain: We will be having a prayer chain this year and so we ask that you hold the staff and pilgrims and all the arrangements in your prayers throughout the weekend. If you wish to let our pilgrims know that you are praying for them, please get in touch with Bill and Pat either by e-mail Contact Bill Rout or by ‘phone on (01953) 454400 before Sunday evening (24th June) so we can complete the prayer chain in time. You only need send your Christian name and Cursillo Diocese and number. (eg. Bill, Lincoln #8 in my case)
Palanca: For the purposes of individual Palanca, Mandy, our Booking Secretary has circulated names of the pilgrims by e-mail to those on our mailing list. If you have not received this then either contact Bill & Pat as above for details or you can send un-named palanca items for 6 pilgrims to Barbara Harrold before Wednesday 27th June who will arrange for the team to name them before distribution. Please remember that prayer is the best form of palanca.
Clausura: We welcome any member of the wider Cursillo 4th Day Community to the Closing Service at The Pleasaunce, Harbord Road, Overstrand, Cromer. NR27 0PN on Sunday 1st July. Please arrange to be there to be seated for 2-45 pm ready for the service at 3 pm.
We give you thanks Lord, that by the power of your Holy Spirit all those involved in Norwich Cursillo #11 will be fulfilled and uplifted and come to know your presence in their lives. Amen
